Conforming to my premise that “everything is worth photographing”, this is an image of a London tube station wall. The old ceramic tile adhesive and the concretions from water ingress from an abstract expressionist pattern.
Green Wall

Nature provides patterns and shapes that I record as abstract expressionist images. This wall in St Lucia, with water rivulets running down the moss and ferns, was on a wall constructed from local lava stone. A cool green image that very much illustrated a principle that “I photograph what I see”.
Yellow Wall
145w x 109h cm - Perspex face mounted - Edition of 12

Salt deposits resembling stalagmites formations on wall in the arches of Vauxhall Station. The three-dimensional light-dark effect, and the yellow colour of the London Stock bricks, was accentuated by the single tungsten spotlight.
Torn Wall
145w x 109h cm - Perspex face mounted - Edition of 12
£4,500 plus VAT & delivery charges
I have been following the progress of this wall near my apartment in Amsterdam. What started as a complete poster covering the vent from a restaurant kitchen has, over time, been torn away to leave another accidental art image for my portfolio.
Danger Wall
145w x 109h cm - Perspex face mounted - Edition of 12

I noticed this fuse box on a covid walk during lockdown. What caught my eye was the deliberate nature of the yellow sprayed graffiti crosses on the boxes. The result is a kind of bridge between photography and abstract painting.
Tin Wall

Corrugated iron is a worldwide industrial material, providing cheap and durable cladding for many types of building. In this case the galvanised sheeting on a building in Iceland has rusted in patches, with flaking paintwork forming abstract patterns on the surface.
